We have been lucky this year with a slow start to the hot temps.
No complains from me! I'd be good with cooler temps the whole summer but let's not fantasize too much!
The last few weeks have been drier than normal and the up and down thermometer has set back my cucumbers that I should be eating by now and my bush beans after a very slow start have pretty much fallen victims to a voracious mother deer that seems to love my 24/7 all you can eat salad bar. Good thing it did not think about digging up my carrots after shaving the tops.
I am fully responsable for the situation since I have always wanted a garden where ALL creatures would feel comfortable.
