5-24-2015 The first lilies bring summer.

We have been extremely lucky the last few days with cooler than usual temps ...and low or no humidity; perfect time to have breakfast and read the paper on our front porch;

We are shifting from spring crops like the last lettuce and the end of snow peas to transition crops like bush beans in about a week and lots of (semi) wild strawberries.

Tomato and eggplants have been growing by the day sucking all that sun. My cukes, on the other hand have been more hesitant and some have fallen to an army of roly polies. Who would think of those guys as a garden pest?

The disappearing house.

Close look at foxgloves.

If you guessed my nickname as "Lipstick", you are perfectly right.

This daylily is a descendant from wild ones I saved 25 years ago when D.O.T. was widening Millbrook road and bulldozing all the wildflowers to make room for more tarmac.

05-03-2015 The best day so far!

Promises...of tasty tomatoes to come!

It does not get better! Low 70s, no humidity and only the very first mosquito scouts, shy still!

Perfect day to be out so I won't waste any more time writing; I'll leave you with a few pictures while I go back out and enjoy!
