It seems that mother Nature is running very early this year with tons of blossoms and some serious leafing out even though we should still expect some cold mornings.
Tulips: growers have come with some fantastic shapes and color variations but still one major weakness: squirrels have developed a refined appetite for those rather expansive bulbs. This year alone, they have scarfed down more than half my bulbs. I might have to try and wean them by growing none for the next couple of years. That could be very painful since I like them so much.
